Hi all,

By the way - I like this site. Thanks to the powers-that-be. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help though:

1. Is there a way to get notified of replies to a specific thread within a forum via email? Is this the same as subscribing? I only see a way to subscribe to the entire Forum (i.e. Brushes).

2. Is there an FAQ or general usage Wiki on the site?

Thanks a lot!

at the bottom left on a thread, there is a 'Subscribe to this thread' link that'll do what you want.

as for a wiki, the best thing we got is the help link found here.

Hi,

Still am not getting emails when a forum I have subscribed to has a new post or when a PM comes in. I have selected the options in my UCP. However when I try to verify what email address I have on file, the system won't let me in. I can't get to the screen that shows my email address.

Help.

Thanks.

Did you try this?

1. Go to User CP

2. On the left hand side of the screen click where it says Edit Options

3. Where it says Messaging and Notification look for where it says Default thread subscription mode, click on the drop down menu and select Instant email notification

4. On the bottom of the screen click Update options

Hope that helps. Now when you comment in a thread or click subscribe to thread you should receive a notification.

UPDATE:

Thanks a lot for everyone's kind help. Turns out the notifications were coming along but were being intercepted by my ISP's junk filter, so they weren't even getting as far as my own junk folder in my email program. I stumbled on this as I was checking mail directly through my ISP's online email service when I didn't have access to my own computer.
