I have seven razors—a Gillette OT, a Gillette NT, a 1946 English-made open comb, a Gillette 3-piece ball end Tech, a 1951 Gillette gold Aristocrat, a 1957 Gillette Red Tip, and a Fatip Picollo. I am now using a different razor every day of the week, and I change all the blades every 4-5 weeks. Other methods of rotation?

1) 1 razor per week - gives 7+ rotations a year
2) 1 razor per month - gives 1 full rotation then a choice of 5 changes
3) Number each razor, roll dice, use razor to match roll

I just choose by mood. Sometimes I use the same razor for a week and sometimes I switch every 2 or 3 shaves.

I have a few razors, and I just use whatever strikes my fancy! Sometimes I will pick a more mild razor if I have shaved a few days in a row...or sometimes I will pick a more aggressive razor or a straight if I have a few days growth!

No rules...!

I usually rotate through razors,  brushes and soaps randomly, based on whatever I feel like each morning.

If you have a bunch of different blades then the combinations and permutations become truly daunting.

I currently have 5 razors in rotation - some attempts to be aggressive then mild.  Makes life easy for blade use counting and changing.

If needed, I will alter and use my favorite razor (Carbon Shaving Cx) for special occasions.

Like others I rotate through razors by mood at the time of the shave. I have plenty to choose from, so they never get boring. Some days modern, some days vintage. Mild to semi-aggressive. Four brands of preferred blades also keep things interesting. It’s quite a lot of fun if you ask me!

I am very particular about rotating my brushes: 1 boar, 2 silvertip badger and 2 finest badger (more white tips denser knot)

I will go with the same soap or cream for most of the week.

I pick a razor at random from 7 double edge, 3 artist club on a stick, 1 AC straight, 3 gems, 1 injector depending on time, scruff or mood.

after shave is set in a style cover face with leftover shaving soap while I wash my brush, alum, witch hazel, splash, balm. the products change every few weeks.

I also rotate three brushes—a Kent BK2, a Frank silver tip, and an Omega boar. For soaps, Proraso white, green and red, and DR Harris They’re all great.

I just use whatever I'm in the mood of using at the moment, unless I'm testing a specific razor, then that one gets priority for a week of daily shaves.

I like this idea of “testing” razors. Are these testers new razors to your stash, or are you just getting around to them again in rotation?

I tested my Carbon Cx razor for 7 days straight to determine if a potential daily driver.  The answer was yes.

The Carbon Cx is now in my rotation of 5 razors.  My other option was to sell 4 razors.

New razors. I try to run them for a week straight to determine whether they're staying or not. Only a very select few end up making it Lol.

I use each razor for a week, and put a new blade in for the week,
