For a modern DE, I’d recommend the RazoRock Game Changer 0.68 and for a vintage razor, a Gillette Tech.

Another vote for the Pils.
Needs some time to get accustomed to it’s angle, maybe a week. Shave in silence, so that you can hear the hairs getting cut (or not Smile ).
My very favorite razor.

Another vote for the Rockwell and Karve, both depending on plate of choice. Also the Game changer 0.68. On the higher end, the Colonial Silversmith, Charcoal Goods level 1 and Rocnel mild.
Playing around with blade choice also has an influence on both the efficiency and smoothness of the razor, so even a mild razor can be more efficient.
