A friend sent me a brand new tin of TRA shave soap.  I've never heard of it before.  Anyone have any background on it?

It looks like, from the lid, that "TRA" stand for Ted R. Andrzejczyk.

I did a Google search but cannot find any information.  The website listed on the lid "ShaveExpert.com" is not active.

I see that TRA shave soap is for sale on Ebay, but again, not much background information.  One TRA seller told me it's popular in Europe.

I haven't tried it yet, but the scent is wonderful!  Looks to be a glycerin based soap like a Col. Conk.  I'm expecting it be to be pretty good.

Again, I'm just really curious if anyone else has tried this soap or heard of it and can offer some additional information.Smile

I just updated my original post with an image and some other particulars.  The original post was done from my phone, so I was rather limited.  Now that I have a full keyboard, etc. in front of me, I can offer some more details.Smile

Thanks, unfortunately the image doesn't help.  I don't think I've ever heard of the website either.

Give it a try and let us know how it performs.

I certainly will!Smile  As I mentioned, the scent is wonderful!  The citrus notes are apparent.Smile  It has the appearance of a glycerin type soap similar to Col. Conk's.  With honey and olive oil as part of the list of ingredients, I'm expecting a nice amount of slickness.Smile

Is what’s listed on the lid really the full ingredients list?

As far as I know, yes.  I don't see any other information listed on the container.  Thereis no information on the underside. The only information listed is on the lid label.  Why do you ask?

The ingredients list is curious to me because as far as I know what's listed isn't soap.

Agree, what’s listed is not soap and that’s no lye. Sorry, couldn’t resist, lol.
