Just received this amazing brush / Muhle STF XL knot with a 54mm loft.
It has great backbone/scrub, slightly reminds me of my Shavemac D01 3 band silvertip knot, the only thing so far is that I had some slight difficulty creating lather compare to its younger 21mm brother, but I think with time it will get better.
As usual it's fun to work with Rudy, he is simply amazing!

A great handle, and one of the best synthetic knots available.  Very nice acquisition!

I’m not usually a fan of jade handles, but those are both very attractive. Enjoy your shaves!

To be honest, I wasn't either until Rudy sent me a few pictures of Jade brush handles he had made and I was sold!

Jade is so much nicer in reality than it is on photo's!

(Note to self: Get Rover or Eagle out for a spin.)

Yep, indeed. Also a knot that is out of production (the XL variant) so those who want one should get one while they are still out there.

I think Rudy told me he can still make those.

Beautiful brush! Have heard muhle stf are top of the line Synthetics. I got a frank shaving G4 on the way and heard it's a clone of the muhle stf. Hopefully it performs similar to it.

I did like the 25mm one but it wasn't intuitive enough for me. I think it was a bit bigger and denser than I wanted and the 23mm knot in the same line was a bit better for me. But it wasn't as comfortable as the floppy Plisson. I prefer that one so family members have the 23mm and 25mm brushes from the STF line. My 2nd favorite synthetic knot is the Muhle Black Fibre knots. I can't remember the last time I used one in a shave.

I had a Frank G4. I was most impressed with the quality of the handle, especially considering the price. The knot was good, but I prefer the Blackwolf/Tuxedo knots.

I have the exact same knot with 54mm loft set in a wolf whiskers handle...it's a classic.
Very happy with it.

At that loft, it is still a tad stiff but I just know it is going to relax as time goes by. Three months of use and
it hasn't broken in yet.

One of my best purchases.
