So...I have been a member to a couple different shaving forums but thought I should spread my wings a bit.  First strated wet shaving December of 2014 after my wife got me an Escali badger brush, a Merkur Long Handle razor, and a tub of TOBS.  I have since moved on to various brushes, razors, and soaps.  I think my wife now regrets that she ever bought those for me.  Anyway...I live in Southern Louisiana...home of the LSU Tigers and College Football's 2019 Championship.  Happy to be here!

Hi Don, and welcome to TSN. Like you, my wife also bought me an Escali donut hole brush and a Merkur long handle razor. The razor head is still used once or twice a year, but the brush is long gone. My wife is resigned to the fact that she enabled my latent shaving ADs.

We visited NOLA a few years back. What a great food town! Willie Mae’s has ruined all other fried chicken for me. Nothing else comes close.

Enjoy the forum Smile

Yeah...that Escali brush is by far the worst I have ever had!  But she didn't know any better and I consider it a "gateway" brush anyway.  I have eaten at a lot of places like Willie Mae's in New Orleans...just not there.  I will definitely check it out next time I am in town (I'm in the Baton Rouge area).  But there are few other cities in the US that are food towns like NOLA!  Chicago and San Francisco come to mind...I wouldn't necessarily call those places better...just in the same class.  Much different food too.

The funny thing is that the other day she asked me if I could whip up a lather for her so she could shave her legs.  She wanted something rose or floral scented.  Picked out three soaps I had and let her choose.  She went with Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations - Tashmere...so maybe there is hope for her yet!  Biggrin
