Hello Nook!

After literally month of wait, I can finally offer up my first big PIF! The Nook has been a very friendly and helpful place for me as I continually learn and perfect wet shaving, so I am glad I can finally give something back! This summer I took a ceramics class to take care of an elective and in it, I discovered my love for the pottery wheel and making bowls. I made a number of them and they have finally been glazed and fired and I would like to offer one up to you!

But wait, there's more! You can't have a new shave bowl and nothing to use with it, so I am also including a brand new, never used Semogue 610 boar hair shave brush and a tin with not one, but TWO grated up sticks of Palmolive shave soap (really fantastic stuff that explodes in lather!)

My only requirements are that you have a minimum of 30 posts here at the Nook by the time of the final drawing. Everyone across the world is welcome to join! To enter, just post saying you are in or whatever you might want related to wet shaving or ceramics.

I will be drawing for this in two weeks, on October 9th, so anyone under post count can certainly make it there! I will be using a random number generator to pick the winner and will announce the lucky user around 8:00 PM Mountain time.

And now, the moment everyone has been waiting for, here's what you could win!

The bowl, lovingly crafted by me, a beautiful new Semogue, and some fantastic Palmolive.

As you can see in this picture I designed a special fat rim around the base s you can easily grip it in your hands whileyou whip up a mean lather with your new brush and soap.

Good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the catch Bruce!

Mark, I would love to do more if I had time, but my school schedule is prohibitive. I`ll be posting another thread with my two other bowls I made in it.

I edited it to fix the extra large pictures, sorry everyone!

Awesome PIF! Don't count me in, I exclusively face lather and such a nice bowl would be a waste on me. Good luck to those that enter!

Hmm that means I'm going to have to get my post count up... participating in Shave of the Day should help. Count me as "In - Pending"!

Not in, but I remember taking a similar class in school. Your work is a lot better than mine came out. Nice job.

Not in, but would like to say that this is an amazingly generous PIF from someone still in school. Also like to add that my favorite items are from those handmade by people I know or just folks doing it on the side. Very cool.

Great PIF! I'm in. A 610 and a one-of-a-kind bowl are actually two things on my ever growing wish list.
