I have 2 of these great razors . One is the ARC coating which I put the WAVE handle on and the DLC with the standard 3 3/4 inch handle. Never liked the Black head with the stainless handle so I put a 2 9/16" piece of heat shrink tubing between the 2 wider portions and it really jazzed it up...easy to do and changes the look.(use 1/2 " dia tubing which will shrink perfectly with a hair dryer or hot water. I put it on a towel and rolled it around with the hair dryer on high. Takes only a few minutes. Also I don,t think they are doing the ARC anymore...no response to 3 E-mails.Cool

That a great idea Harvey, functional and cool looking. And yes the ARC Wave Handle combo is another winner. That's some slick razors you've got, I don't need a pic to envision the looks.

I believe Weber is still on for making more ARC's should be available before long.

I think it is a bad idea. There will be water stuck between the heat shrink tube and handle, water that will damage your handle. Not to mention other stuff that will get caught at the edge of the tube and make its way down.
Keep it simple, keep it dry.

No way ..that tubing is so tight nothing will get in..and if it does..who cares..it will outlast any one of us and besides the world ends on 12/21/12...so I might as well enjoy the modification.
