Can a successful brush knot contain a mix of synthetic with either boar, horse, badger all/some/none?

I don't see why not.  However, I don't know what the benefit or demand would be.

I've never had a knot with blended hairs/fibers. I've been told by a supplier that blending can compromise longevity due to uneven wear. I can imagine why that could be the case with some combinations, but, again, I have no personal experience.
