The Razo Rock Hawk V2 has a removable part at the bottom of the handle. Someone please explain, thanks.

It’s built that way to allow for the attachment of a handle extension.  The aftermarket 27” handles are available at Home Depot.  Once they are attached and a new blade is inserted, the razor can be used for trimming grass, for instance...around a mailbox post.

Originally, the handle was in stainless. The knob was designed to be removable to allow people that wanted a little less weight to remove a couple of gram on the razor.

I know that some people also used the removable knob to add another razor head. (Found that pic on internet)

I tried it once just for the fun of it...

Looking at it, I have to wonder if part of the intent was to allow them to speed up production by using slimmer rods in the lathe to make the handle... the weight reduction and ability to use two heads being a 'happy accident'.

I’m thinking that cyclists and other folks could shave both legs at the same time!

... or install the razor on a rotating machine...

I tried this configuration once with an aggressive head and a more milder one for the follow up pass. Since both head are close it is a bit tricky to hold.

I remember that the person who took this picture called this razor the "TIE-Fighter"

According to the maker in all the articles I have read like previously said it was so you could remove it for a lighter weight handle
