Yep, time on my hands...now I'm thinking football all-time picks.
Common sense points to Brady and his Patriots, however I was a rabid NY Giants fan and pick Taylor for defense plus Deion Sanders.
Montana had a great habit of winning plus Rice.
Namath had a great arm and wonderfully talented receivers: Maynard and Sauer.
Raiders coached by Madden and the talent he had on the field.
Pittsburgh Steelers team were incredible, they had a lot of rings.
Miami with Csonka and Morris did nicely.
Brown and Sayers and Payton and OJ and Sanders and Bo Jackson could run.
Bill Parcells must be mentioned.

I've followed the NFL a long time. The very first game I watched beginning to end was Superbowl III.
I can go into how execution, complexity of plays, blocking schemes etc have been on the decline beginning in the 80s but I'll save all that and tell you the best team ever put together was the Steelers of the 70s. I was not a fan of the team but I have to admit that over a period of time I've never seen better. If we're talking about greatest for a single season that's a little harder.
