I am happy to introduce the Simpson Trafalgar series of synthetic shaving brushes. These brushes sport lathe turned resin handles and specially sourced Sovereign grade synthetic fiber. The brushes are substantial as well as a screaming bargain.

Thank you Primo. I hope that they sell well too.

Indeed they are. Lathe turned handles and handmade knots. I don't know how Simpson can produce this quality at a price competitive with the Chinese imports.
Yes. For a while, I had the D3-esque Simfix synth. It was very reasonably priced. I’m interested in learning if these new Trafalgar knots are similar to the Simfix knot (which reminded me of the Thater synth material). Guessing at this price point it’s probably not the platinum grade fiber, more likely the sovereign grade. Is the handle substantial, akin to the rest of the Simpson line?

Thank you Charlie! I put in another order and will have all three models in about two weeks.
I will have to pay closer attention for the announcement of the next batch. Those went quick.

The Trafalgar series brushes are back in stock! We have also added the Trafalgar T1 to the line up. At only $18.50, adding it to your collection is a no brainer.

I highly recommend the T3...30mm sounds larger than one of those big Declaration knots but it really isn't.
You can spend a whole lot more but you won't get more brush.
It really opens up after a dozen or so uses...just the right amount of splay and great balance in the softness/scrub department.
If you want a brush for travels T1/2 might be more to your taste.

Can anyone compare this knot with the AP Shave Co Synbad? I’m still looking for a more satisfying synthetic to use as my travelling brush; at the moment I’m using a Synbad, which has outperformed the other 3 synthetics I’ve tried so far. I do like the look of the Trafalgar, so in that department it shines.

My daughters presented me with a few shave items for Father’s Day, one of which was a T3 brush from BullGoose. I used it for this morning’s shave, and I must say it’s very impressive. VERY impressive. I’ve had a number of experiences with synthetic brushes, and lemmetellya this is a helluva brush! The handle is perfect; height, girth, heft. It feels really substantial in hand. I hate to say it, but for me it’s a much more comfortable handle than that of the Chubby 2. Also, the T3 is taller than the Chubby 3, but is not as big in circumference.
In terms of the knot, while it’s not as soft as the Platinum grade fibers in the Chubby 2 synthetics (I have 3 of them with which to compare), the T3 Sovereign fibers are very comfortable. These Sovereign grade fibers feel softer and more pliable than the knot that was in the Simfix SF1 that resembles an ebony Duke 3. That brush didn’t live up to expectations. This T3 knot is also much more responsive and “natural“ feeling compared to the Thater and Plisson (not Plissoft) brushes which I’ve had but sold. The Sovereign tips are very soft and the T3 knot is quite dense. It has responsive splay with gentle pressure. Perhaps I’ve become accustomed to working synthetic Simpson knots, idk, but this brush seems to be a top notch performer. Very impressive.
Like others have said, this would make a great travel brush, but it’s also an excellent brush for regular home use, too. As Ricardo indicated, you can’t beat the price and quality Simpson is putting out with the Trafalgar series of brushes.
I’ll take some pics later today. Thanks to Simpson and Co. for an incredible product/price point, and to BullGoose for the (according to my daughters) speedy delivery.
