Hi All,
While at a yard sale yesterday found a Gillette Toggle in mint condition asking price $20.00. It was apparent he had no idea of its value.
Long story short I felt uneasy and gave him $100.00 as i felt sorry and it looked like he could really use the money.
This morning i shaved with it and let me tell you for me was the best damn shave ever! I have been wet shaving for many years and and have a coarse dense beard and it plowed through my hair like butter. Even closer than the Fatboy.
Here was my setup:
Gillette toggle on # 9 setting D1 1958 with the original case and unopened 20 pack of Blue blades.
Brush- Paladin Moe
Soap- Zingari Man Essentials
Blade - Personna 74
AS- Shulton Old spice Lime
When compared to the Fat Boy it was more aggressive on the 9 setting and had to lower it to 7 as you could really feel the blade on the skin.
Anyway just thought I share my experience with you and how you Gillette Toggles owners feel about your shaves with this incredible razor.
Thanks
