I’m not American. I stopped watching Downton Abbey after Matthew was killed. It just seems to go on and on ad nauseam: enough is as good as a feast. I like Julian Fellowes‘ work very much and as an actor (especially as Lord Kilwillie in Monarch of the Glen), but I think he’s milked Downton Abbey for more than it’s worth.

How many wet shavers out there among the Downton Abbey viewers? Or, how many wet shavers are there in the USA?Watched it religiously when it first aired. Bought the Blu-rays as they came out. I am now binge-watching. I am almost to the end of season 5. Two thumbs way up. Admittedly, it's a direct steal of the original Upstairs Downstairs. I love the BBC dramas. Cadfael, The Forsyte Saga,The Pallisers, Poldark, The Duchess of Duke Street, Thomas and Sarah, I Claudius, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, Brideshead Revisited, Smiley's People, The Jewel in the Crown, House of Cards, Prime Suspect, Cracker, Pride and Prejudice, Jack Irish.
