The word, "excited" is admittedly overused today.  Nevertheless, we believe it's an appropriate description of our feelings about the new shaving brushes recently added to The ReadyMade Collection.

For your consideration, we offer the last of its kind Morris & Forndran Raspberry Fields Ebonite 2XL followed by our newly redesigned BSSW Beehive, and a lovely Barrister and Arley--all hand-turned and filled with our luxurious Estate Badger hair for a most luxurious shave.  [Read More...

It's an acrylic resin sold under the trade name, "kirinite."  It can yield a very nice result, as you can see.  The only problem is that the color patterning is inconsistent--apparently from batch to batch.  I say that with some qualification because the first batch we acquired had lovely coloring pretty much throughout, but the fancy color patterning (i.e., the grays and blacks) in the second batch--from which this brush was turned--was, with the exception of this and one other piece, almost non-existent.  It's an expensive material made even more so when we have to shelve 75-80% of a shipment.  We'll keep what we have and maybe use it for ornamentation (rings, collars, etc.) on special pieces.  It's a shame, but due to its unpredictability (and cost!), I doubt we'll be ordering it again.  I'm sorry.

Even if it is limited in the scope it is used, it is still a pleasure to see a previously never before seen material!

Gentlemen,

Four Morris & Forndran ReadyMade brushes came in with the last shipment.  Included were two Heritage II TH brushes that had "gone walkabout" a few months back.   All are now available for your consideration in The ReadyMade Collection.

Gentlemen,

For your consideration, Nancy and I have just listed a small variety of new Morris & Forndran brushes in The ReadyMade Collection.  It includes a Heritage II L7 that had "gone walkabout" early in the coronavirus pandemic plus two new 2XL "Shorties" among others.  Check them out here.  If history is any indication, they probably won't last long, so....

We missed this lovely M&F Highlander when we listed the last drop.  Marvelously ergonomic, the Highlander's recently become more popular.  Check it out in The ReadyMade Collection.
