Been a minute since I have had time to post.

Saw the butterscotch Semogue SOC boar brush on Bullgooses site - ordered it and have used it a few times.

This is an exceptional knot, comfortable handle and a crazy good price.

Thought I would share as it impressed me that much!

What an unexpected delight!

I would say the same about the Zenith Brushes.  I own 3 Zenith boar brushes and they seem to be tremendous for face lathering.  The copper handled brush, once it generates a nice patina is excellent.
I do still enjoy my Semogue 1305...great brush And it’s inexpensive!
I did not find any butterscotch Semogue brushes on the Bullgoose website?

I can’t explain it.  I found a single page when I searched “Semogue” and it had no butterscotch.  I tried to go back and find the page I visited and it brought up the page that you provided?  I’ll chock it up to stupidity on my part.  Mea Culpa.

In the style of the Semogue Owners Club it's a beauty to enjoy in use and looks awesome as well.

I always felt the SOC was, arguably, the best boar brush on the market.  Introducing an ivory resin SOC was a great move by Semogue.  Now, we have a butterscotch which is one of the nicest I've seen from any brush maker.  It's just a beautiful boar brush.

Maybe it's me but $44 for a boar brush seems kind of steep.

I have 2 Omega wooden beehive handle boar brushes. They are both great brushes. I think I paid under $10 for each of the Omega brushes. I am sure the Semogue is very nice so YMMV.

Agreed.  I have a 1305 which was $20 and a Zenith which was $16.  Can't see any boar better than those 2.

The B.scotch feels much nicer to me than the 1305 and looks better than my 1305 after I dropped the 1305 and chipped it. LOL
