Like the scales, or hate the scales, the Gold Dollar 300 is the pinnacle of Chinese straight razors.

I've brought in a few of these razors to test the waters.

Gold Dollar 300 Shave Ready Straight Razor

The upgrade is better finish and a single stabilizer instead of double stabilizers. Thus eliminating the heel issue.

For that price, honed, they are certainly worth the money. I like mine from back when. I get good shaves and some useful durability from the 300 and later series. I have friends that put them against some modern factory razors selling for a good bit more.
6/8ths+, honed, problems cured? go for it!

Just ordered one. To be honest.....some of my best shaves have been with a GD. Looking forward to getting this one,

It's just branding. Don't claim to have some new technology or anything not available to the market.

Ah okay, figured it was just branding but was curious if there was anything really unique about it. Sorry if my post came across as brash by the way, just re-read it.

No hard feelings.

With all the crap sold as shave ready on ebay, shave ready just doesn't mean anything anymore unless you've got a name behind it.
