This is probably the most unique genuine ivory brush I have come across. It's unused and is absolutely beautiful and pristine, made in 1945 per Kent. It pains me to sell it, but I am trimming down to what I use. Overall height of the brush is a bit over 3 1/2". Knot size from the base is 1". Comes with the original box. Price is pretty firm at $500. You will not find another one like this.

I don't know that I'd ever use it, but I sure would like to have it! And I tell myself that I'm not a collector. But every once in a while something just phenominal comes up for sale.

I wish I could, but I can't do it. Dang! Someone is going to get something wonderful!

Agreed. I can't afford to be a collector. That and I couldn't fathom not using a brush.

Gorgeous brush. Good luck with the sale, I wish I could afford something like that.

Nice brush. If only that seller had let their auction finish, I don't think they'd have got close to $650 though.

Nice looking hair, but given the expensive of ivory one wonders why Kent didn't bother to shape it into a nice handle.

Me too. My only thought is that they didn't want to waste any part of the tusk.

Also, is it just me or does it look like Mammoth ivory?

Well, I think that Kent made this brush to look like this as it is quite a beauty and very unique. I have never seen one like this before and I know from communication with Kent that they didn't make too many of these....

Tell me you are in Canada. Customs would not let it in otherwise.

No mammoth ivory? I'm assuming it's mammoth ivory.

Unfortunately I am not. I had this shipped over from the UK without a hitch.
