Received this OCMM from CyberJCM today. It wouldn't sell for $12, so he reduced it to $10, and still no takers; shameful! So we worked a trade. It's a gorgeous user grade, with case. I'm glad to have it even though I certainly don't need another OCMM.

I'm hoping he's happy too!

Edit: added the picture. Facepalm

Just bought this on the bay today. Still sealed. Does anyone know when this particular one is from?

I just ordered a tin of the Tallow version Black Tie Shave Soap from the Strop Shop. I've heard a lot of great things about there soaps so I'm excited to give it a try.

Here's the latest acquisitions: a nice tub of MEM cream, from Johnny. Excellent stuff!

Ooops! I forgot the translator...! Here it is: Biggrin

From the honeymoon trip, some recuerdos: Biggrin

Bought locally in Prague, Czech Republic: a Manufaktura After-Shave Balm, with extracts of... BEER! Biggrin For only 145 czech kronas (nearly €5,80).
The balm is excellent, very nice for the cold weather, contains lanolin and extracts of beer among other good things, and has a nice bittersweet aroma, maybe from the beer. Smile

From Hungary, a nice "Barbon" shaving cream and aftershave lotion, made by Caola-Alfa. The cream is excellent - great performance and scent. The tube costs 350 hungarian forints (nearly €1,25) and the aftershave ~650 hungarian forints (~€2,32)

And from Hungary also, a tube of "Figaró" shaving cream, also made by Caola-Alfa. If it is nearly as good as Barbon, then it's got to be good stuff! Cool

And from the mail-man, the result of a group buy on a Spanish shaving board: a Thiers Issard Oakwing Horn Handled straight razor. I will let my poor photos tell the story:

Beautiful razor oversaturn. Congratulations.
I thought you had also bought a pouch for the straight razor. I have seen two packages @BarbearClassico. Dodgy

I don't know what to think about a man that will travel all over Europe on his honeymoon and buys shaving products. I know, you took one for the team.Smile

That is a beautiful TI Razor.

I had to shave with something, right? Biggrin
Some items can be strategically forgotten from the travel suitcase... Laughing1

It's all about travelling. Getting to know the culture, the music, the gastronomy... and the "shaveology"! How local people eat, dance, drink... and shave! Laughing1

Emanuel,

That straight looks absolutely amazing, what a find! I don't know anything about SR's but just the shape of the blade, the curved out portion in the top..just wow!

I agree. I don't know anything about straights either, and with a hand tremor I'd be afraid to shave with one, but I certainly admire the beautiful examples of them.

On this last day of the month, I got a bottle of Thayer's unscented witch hazel with aloe, to use as aftershave sometimes.
