Please PM me if you have a Personna BBS-0 that you're willing to sell - or even just to loan. (I can give lots of references.)
Thanks.

John, the head design is vaguely reminiscent of that black aluminum razor you posted a couple of weeks ago. Are you trying to make a comparison?

No, Charlie, I actually want to compare the Personna to my LASSC BBS-1. The BBS-1 is said to have gotten some inspiration from the Personna.

I see.

As I understand it (and there’s a very good chance I have no idea what I’m talking about) the Razorock Lupo is based on that razor also. The stainless steel Lupo is one I reach for frequently. Other folks really seem to enjoy the aluminum version. Have you tried a Lupo?

I have one and the BBS-1 is much better...was a variation of the basic Gillette...(the Personna)..the BBS-1 was thickened and has a .61 gap...I have #023.

No, I haven't. There are way too many razors to try.

Is there a vintage Gillette that is very similar to this Personna?

Interesting. I used my English Tech yesterday morning with a shim. It was a smooth and efficient, 36 hours till-the-next-shave shave.

The Personna pictured above looks like it clamps down on the blade nice and tight.
