I just had a customer contact me inquiring where his Bay Rum was.

I use the PayPal e-mail notifications to inform me as to sales. I checked my records and the gent didn't show up in notifications for the 17th. But I open my acct up and there he is. Makes me look like an ass and maybe I was for trusting Paypal and e-mails.

OK, learning experience... Don't trust PayPal e-mail notifications, open the acct every day and look. Just a heads up for other vendors.

Have any other vendors had this problem? It's not the first time it's happened (2nd time in 2 years); it certainly isn't frequent.

No, haven't had that issue.

What I do have is gmail combining emails from the same seller, so I have to split them up to read both messages.

Thank you Brian for the heads up. This should apply to anyone using Paypal not only businesses.

No...I have never had that problem but I have had situations where there is a delay of several hours before I am notified. Strange.

I have had that occur occasionally, however I receive an email notification from my site or from Ebay that a sale has taken place, which triggers me to look for the Paypal payment confirmation.
