These troublemakers are on their way to me from the UK. Huge brushes, for sure. I couldn't resist!

There is very little information about the P12: can anyone shed any light?

Anyone have any experience using them? I hear they have the same knot at the BK12... but do they?

More pics when they arrive here in Australia.

I did read (somewhere) that the P12 has a bit more backbone than the BK12, but that was from a thread about ten years ago. I’m just wondering if anyone has comparison experience and therefore an informed view?

Fair enough. I’ll toss one of them into the bin when  I receive them, then. Wink

As I now understand it, the twins are the earlier versions of the Kent P series, and have a wider knot and shorter loft, hence more backbone. Other than measuring these characteristics when the twins arrive, the Kent logo is the other indicator.

The later logo, I believe, indicates a slightly less dense knot, but I have no definite proof of this. For interest, I found a picture of the later version of the Kent logo on a plexi sitting next to the earlier version (like mine). This being so, I think my twins may have been made in the late 90s, but I’d love to be corrected on this. If all this is true, I am even luckier!

The P8 in the picture below on the right is the earlier logo. The P12 on the left, the later version.

The image comes from a posting in the Nook in 2013, and is credited to Vocalistbob:
