I am opening my vault for a unique opportunity to experience what I believe are some of the finest brushes ever made by Simpson.

During a period of about 2 years (2011-13) Simpson had a phenomenal 2 Band hair with amazing characteristics: fine, but resilient, assembled in uniform, bulbous, densely (for 2 Band) packed knots. These are still carrying the “Made in England” sticker and came first in grey and then green boxes.

2 Bands of that time were produced infrequently, when such hair was on hand, and set into handles not specially marked. That’s why you find those in handles marked “Best Badger” or “Super Badger”. I approached Mark Watterson at the time and asked, if he could do a few customs for me and so a series of brushes came together, some specially marked “Silvertip” - a nomenclature Simpson then kept for any following 2 Band offering.

I am offering 2 brushes from this period for sale today: one, the Harvard 4 (SOLD), is a “unicorn”, i.e. to my knowledge this is the ONLY H4 ever produced in that hair. The second, Eagle 3, is one of only two I am aware of.

I asked both of these to be made with 25/50mm knots.

These brushes are well kept treasures in mint condition.

No trades. No price reduction. Take it or leave it.

Each sells for $300 incl. shipping with tracking. CONUS and Paypal only.

PM me if interested.
