I've never tried Cella, so have ordered the large brick. At £21 I reckoned cheap enough and less than some other soaps costing that for 150 g or so.,I use. Hope its as good as it's fans say.

Roy, I admire your bravery to go out on a limb with such a large quantity of an unknown product.

Roy, do a Google search on "Cella going bad."  You will find numerous posts in the shaving forums about Cella going bad after some period of time.  It's a soap many like, but it's shelf life seems to be a problem.  It's something to keep in mind, as you're getting a large brick.

I AM buying it blind, but have done so with all my soaps and creams . I do load the brush heavily,  so will probably get ťhrohgh it quite quickly!! I reckoned too many like it for it to be a complete dud.  I'll report back after using it for a week.

I keep my brick in the fridge, lol. It stays snow white. I slice off a slice and mash it into a bowl, and it goes bad at room temperature in anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months - and I have central heat and air. 3P is far more stable, but not a tallow soap.

When you buy the Cella brick either use it daily or place it in the fridge permanently and only takeit out when you need a dullop of it or it will go stale in 5-6 months time.

I had to throw my 1 kg brick out.

Never buying it again - but it's a great shaving croap, in fact it's fantastic.

Don’t confuse it with your almond ice-cream!  Tongue

3 shaves with the brick, and it is creamy and protective, comparable to SV DARE I say.? I was bit wary as I found some budget soaps disappointing. Not Cella, really the great soap users say it is. Plus, the marzipan scent is excellent, nothing like the basic soapy scent some budget soaps are like.

I still have a couple hundred grams of my brick and it's about 2 years old now.  It is starting to turn a bit brown.  Still smells ok and works fine but I'm working on using it up before it goes completely.

This is definitely true. A small amount should be cut off and placed in a tub for use. The remaining brick should be refrigerated. Rancid Cella is not pleasant.

I had a small amount of a premium cream,  so mixed in equal amount of Cella.  Turned it into the best product ever! Superb in eve4y way!
