Reading the thread about the 57 Douglas two band brush , I came accross Dipesh post about having 2 brushes of the Simpson 57 two band.Do you have more than one brush of the same style?

I do 2 Wet Shaving Products Stubbies silvertips , and I had tried 3 Simpson Duke 3 , in the past , but I never had them at the same time.

What about you , gents?

I've never owned 2 of the same brush, I did for a short time have 3 Simpson Colonel X2L for a very short time while having to deal with RMA on 2 of them for being defective..so that doesn't count. Tongue

nope, all different makes, models, lofts and knots.

the closest I have to 2 of the same is my DUKE 3 and re-knotted Vulfix 404...and a couple of similar handle Semogues

other then that, they are all completely different.

I would get bored if they were all the same make or hair grade or even all the same handle material.

I'm tempted to buy a backup Rover while they are available again, but my next brush will most likely be a 2-band since I never had one.

Exact copies Teiste or just handles?

I will have exact copies of Pj2 in 2 band soon too. This will be in newer hair though as my original brush is the older hair.

If your talking handles then I have quite a few that will overlap. It will be different hair though.

I had 2 Semogue 1305 brushes, exactly identical, in the past (I'm not counting vintage handles), but I offered one of them (unused) to a good friend recently.

I also have two units of the Semogue 208. That is one of my favourite boar brushes (like a smaller lofted 1305), and they were very cheap, so I can afford having a spare... Biggrin

Not exactly the same brush. But I do own 3 Thäter 4125/0 brushes: one of each octo handle (black, ivory and plexi).

I tried that Thater with the black handle and 3 band hair and I enjoyed a lot , my friend.

ANd the more I see pics of the Tgaters 2 bands , the more I think the one I have tried wasnt a very good example ; yours has extra white tips and looks very luxurious.Time to get another 2 band from Thater.

Thanks for the pics!!!

Well, maybe.

I have 2 Simpson Specials. One in best, one in pure. I wanted to test the bristles in the same brush.

Other than that, no.

Because I collect Somerset Simpsons, I have several "families," such as the Persian Jar 1,2 and 3. And when one of those brushes comes with different hair grades, I will sometimes have 2 or 3 of the same model, e.g. PJ1 in both Best and Super and PJ3 also in both.

I've been purposely avoiding getting two brushes too similar with each other. Maybe later on in my wet shaving career I may end up doubling up some items, or getting two very similar brush, but right now I have too much still to experience!
