Picked up this razor after ages for a shave today... and is was just an outstanding experience....gave me a better shave than so many of my high priced top rated razors.

Absolutely fantastic...needs a wider angle of attack..about 45 degrees. Had 24 hours growth and used a Nacet blade on its third use.

Anyone else love this razor?[Image: 3e46e5dfd7a8c87c4574a86b597f5353.jpg]

Yeah, I wish they would make a stainless steel version. The Parker head is a time proven design and the open comb is very nicely rounded, adjusting the angle is very easy. I also like their heavy razors, the butterfly designs are presumably good, too, but I dislike the TTOs, they are prone to malfunction. You might also like the heavier handle of the 98R and its shapely handle.

Parker razors are - I feel - underappreciated in general. I got a 22R as my first double edged razor, and despite having quite a few more razors in my rotation today it still earns its keep.

Are Parker razors brass or zamak?

The handle is a genuine brass frame according to Parker. They don't mention the head with I would guess could either be zamak or a zinc alloy.

Erm, how high is the rent on shelf space in your den?
Is it commendable for its meager appetite for food?

It's been over 10 years since I used a Parker, and I don't recall which model it was.  I believe all Parkers have a brass handle and Zamak head.  The brass handle gives the razor a nice feel due to the weight, and will last longer than one made of Zamak.  They cost less than a Merkur, but the quality of the chrome plating is below the Merkur.  I see the Parkers as a good value.
