I have designed a new solid stainless steel razor handle being made in the USA that is fully CNC machined. To launch my new venture I am having an April Fools’ Day sale. So, now through April 1st I am taking orders for handles that will ship the first week of April at the special introductory price of $35, plus shipping and handling. The S & H for USPS first class is: $3 for the US, $4 to Canada, $6 for the rest of the world. Any customs duties on international orders are the responsibility of the purchaser. After April 1st the price of the handle will increase to $42.99.

To order please PM me indicating your PayPal email, and I will invoice you when your handle is ready to ship. You may email me at wildtaxprof@hotmail.com, with any questions or to make alternative payment arrangements, if you do not have a PayPal account.

The specs on our handle are: solid machined stainless steel made in the USA, weight ~2.5 ounces (71.5 grams); handle length 96 mm; width at bottom 16 mm, width at the top 9.7 mm, main barrel width at knurling 11 mm; top ring 12.7; bottom knurled ring 12.8. Threading is M5 x 0.8, which will take the new European heads, e.g. Muhle, as well as US heads with 10/32 threads, like the Gillette New and others. So long as the razor head has your typical stem, it will fit the handle. I even tried a Weber head and it fit fine, as did a short-stemmed Gillette Old type. The handle has been extensively tested by fellow wet shavers including guys with small hands and short fingers, big hands with long fingers and medium size hands. All have reported being able to get an excellent and very comfortable grip for shaving in all directions.

Richard,

That looks very nice. Phil tells me you are also working on a complete stainless steel razor. Is that correct? If so, do you have a tentative production date on those.

Welcome as one of our TSN vendors.

That looks great, Richard. It's really attractive. I would also be interested in one in brushed SS, to which a Feather AS head could be attached, if that ever comes about.

Beautiful handle. I am waiting for the complete razor to be available. I understand the head will be open comb.

Wow, Richard - your design looks great and I'm pretty excited about the look and weight! Knowing my love of hefty handles and vintage heads, I expect I'll be ordering one soon. Smile

Also looking forward to speaking with you next week to learn more about "your story". I'll contact you by email today to coordinate a meeting.

Yes we are getting close to completion of the final testing phase of our first fully machined in the US head. At this point the guys are tested the head with a variety of different blades to ensure consistently good performance across the board. I should have prototype photos in about a week up on B&B and here. Production is scheduled for April with delivery in early May.

I do not have the head pricing yet, but all early handle purchasers will be offered the head at a special price.

The head is a full open comb "block design" type head, that differs quite a bit from the Pils or Ikon offerings in that type of head. Just as our handle differs from what is out there our head does as well.

I eagerly await this razor. It will be good to have a quality razor that is once again made in the U.S.A.

Not taking anything away from the others, but you know what I mean.

No, the Gem 1912 takes a male threaded handle, rather than the typical female threaded handle on most DE razors. The 1912 is a fine SE. Bob at Bob's Razor Works does make a custom handle for the old Gems.

I've probably bought 20 razors from Richard and he's a great fella to deal with and has become a very good friend over the course of my DE Shaving Career. Anytime I've ever had a question, he's either had a response or a razor to send to me to solve a problem. Good luck Richard!!

Now, if we could only get Richard to make a stainless steel Schick Injector clone.

And I do too. So now I'll have to get one of the heads so I'll actually have something with which to shave!
