Today, I compared the Feather blade (current fave) and Gillette Platinum blade. Both new blades put in my Rex Ambassador (setting 3 wtg, 6 xtg, 2 atg). Same settings, same preshave, soap, etc.

Very comfortable bbs and both blades did excellent. They're very close in performance. I may give the slight edge to the Platinum on smoothness atg but the feather side had zero stinging with the alum block test where the Platinum had very minimal stinging. Both great blades and probably my top 2 blades in this razor. [Image: 8808bbbf682d1173df0a3e07c7975f93.jpg]

Interesting to see I'm not the only one to use the stinging test.

Good comparison.  Is that block on the left your pre-shave?  Glycerin?

good comparison. Just used a Feather yesterday in my Blackland Ti. Great blade but will have to pull out the GP to compare them side by side.
