Poll: Who is your favorite Artisan Soap Maker?

If you had to use 1 Artisan soap maker exclusively, who would it be and why?

This is for Soaps/Creams and not anything else.

I'm not talking about Companies like Castle Forbes, RazoRock (as they have some rebranded), MdC and a few of the other heavy-weights, but more the smaller, handmade, artistans.

Thanks,

closed the other one and added a few more options.

For me it's a close one between QCS and MW, but QCS get's the nod from me. I have not tried all of them though.

Unfortunately my preferred artisan soap maker is closed in definitely: The Gentlemen's Quarter. Of all the artisan soaps I've tried so far, none impressed me as much as Colleen's...

That said though, I have yet to try Jabonman and Calani soaps - so I must withhold my vote for now.

can't edit POLL, so I guess they will have to be OTHER...to be honest I've never heard of them (or just in passing) and don't think the'd crack the top 5 anyway, but who knows.

i'm more interested in the race between QCS, Mikes, MW & Prairie Creations (the top 4 in my list)

I have MB, MW and Mike's, but QCS produces the best lather for me.

I had to go with Calani, produces some really slick and cushioning lather for me. I have some JabonMan on the way to me. I'm sure it's good but I haven't used it yet, so, I can't vote for it.

Bruce, you might be surprised to see how Calani is at the very top of artisan chain.

I went for QCS..I love Vostok, GIT and the "Portman Square, Notting Hill" they made for Phil. It was a hard decision between them and Mike's..I think Mike will win me over eventually but I never can get the soaps I want because it's always out of stock and the samples I got a couple months ago still weren't enough to make a final decision..they were more a test to see if I like the scent and if they set my face on fire or not.Biggrin

My vote goes to Calani. Their soaps offer superb performance and wonderful fragrances. A relatively little known but truly outstanding soap.

I would say JoAnna's TSD soaps are my favorite artisan soaps. There is nothing wrong with Mama Bear's soaps either. Smile

I voted for Calani. Amazing scents, ridiculous performance, and superb after-face-feel.

I'd love to try Jabonman, but haven't had that honor yet.

I'm waiting on some JabonMan, should be a few weeks. I'll send you some samples when I get it, I'll pm you when I receive them.

you can pick just one, we won't force you to stick with them for the rest of your wet shaving life. Cool and it's not public, so your choice will be your little secret.

just curious to see what people choose as their TOP choice right now, regardless if you have tried them all or just a few.

I like both Prairie Creations and Queen Charlotte. I have not yet tried Jabonman.

For the most part though, I prefer a heavy hitter such as D.R. Harris shave soaps. They have the best combination of scent and lather in my opinion. YMMV, of course.
