Today it will be 90 degrees here in central Iowa.  And I realized that I don't have a summer soap!

So I ask:  What is your recommendation for a summer soap? Top tier - as in excellent base.  And, please, no menthol.

Thanks

Also in the 90s this week in Spokane although expected to cool into the 70s tomorrow for a week or so.

My favorite five in the summer shaving soap rotation (Mar 21- Sep 20 and all sans menthol) are:

Castle Forbes Lime Essential Oil Shaving Cream with Royall Lyme All Purpose Lotion and matching CF post-shave lime balm

Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica shaving soap with matching SV aftershave

DR Harris Arlington - tallowate! - shaving soap with complimentary aftershave, EdT and talc

Martin de Candre Agrumes

Le Pere Lucien Abricot (tallowate version is far superior to original non-tallowate formula) with matching LPL abricot aftershave and spectacularly healthful Aura Cacia Apricot Kernal oil.

My "off brand" summer AS's include Ach Brito Aqua de Colonia, Berdoues 1902 Gingembre Vert, Christian Dior Eau Sauvage and Mont St Michel Naturelle Classique.  Citrusy aftershaves are spectacularly refreshing but also spectacularly short lasting which means you just have splash on more throughout the long hot days.  And for some extra punch super-chill ASs in your kitchen freezer until shave time!

Shave on and keep cool!

I have a small selection of citrus scents (and one peach) I've been enjoying: Mystic Waters Lime, Mystic Waters Orange Vanilla, Seaforth Sea Spice Lime, Grooming Dept Citric, and Grooming Dept Chypre Peach - my new thing though is using these when cold shaving - it's not a purist's cold shave, but I do fill a scuttle with ice water and let the lather get nice and cold before applying.

I like citrus scents in warmer months: CRSW Citrus Maximus, Mike’s Lemongrass & Eucalyptus, Mike’s Orange, CedarWood, and Black Pepper. If you ever reconsider menthol, CRSW Limenthol is excellent.

I've read the profile and review for St BArt's. I'm interested. It would be great if someone would offer me a tub of it - or sell me part of a tub. (hint, hint)

I enjoy a few non-mentholated summery soaps. In no particular order; the aforementioned DRH Arlington, Mike’s Lime, AoS Lemon, B&M Oceana and B&M Diamond. Arlington knocks me out.
