Well ... I was looking some stuff up on the internet and had read somewhere that Krissy at Prairie Creations was making soap again.

I had visited her site while she was off taking care of her Mom and herself so I was excited that she was back. So as I was looking at her various creations, I saw at the bottom of her page a reference to A GREAT Forum!!! The Shave Nook.com a "Traditional Wet Shaving Forum."

So here I am.

So Howdy from DisneyLand ... well I am close enough to it to and to Knott's Berry Farm to work the Gold Mines at Mickey's Place and the Gold Mines at the Farm.

I will be posting some other stuff when I am not so busy at work.

But, I will be looking in often enough.

As for me, I am old enough to know better but, not as old as dirt but, I am getting there. As a kid I remember seeing my Dad shave with a DE so I know what they are and I remember seeing Straight Razors in the old movies. I remember that Shaving Cream came in a can and still does and that mostly you shaved after you had a shower.

Now, when I started shaving I learned all I needed to know on how to shave from the Gillette TV Commercials and the Gillette TRAC Razor was for me. Canned Goo, A TRAC Razor and some Old Spice and I was done for the day.

After a while I didn't bother with the Old Spice or any other after shave or shave balm.

For years I used the Canned Goo, a Multi-Blade Razor of some sort and then jumped into the shower.

Then, one day I got tired of my Multi-Blade Razor clogging and I found at my Grocery Store a cheap Shaving Brush and Williams Shaving Soap.

Same Stuff Different Day.

Doing the shaving bit day after day made me ... well ... Grumpy.

So a while back, I was over at the The Mouse's House and he was showing me some researching he was doing for a new movie on the internet. We got to talking and he said that everything is on the interent. So I borrowed his computer one day and discovered a whole new world.

And since then, Shaving has not been the same.

I am not as Grumpy anymore but, I kind of got use to the name after so many years of using it.

Hello and welcome to the forum. My parents used to drop me off at the gate of the Magic Kingdom when I was a kid, to run wild on Tom Sawyer's Island. And we used to go to Knott's for Sunday brunch, where I absolutely hated the rhubarb dessert they made me try each time.... Good times.
