Thanks!!! The finish looks amazing!!! It never specified which finish when I bought it. I basically bought the entire Jet package (both base plates & inkwell stand) for less than the black oxide with the same options. I'm in love with it. On a quick side note, I think you would dig the Tradere, it is very mild. Great shaver, very efficient. Just very mild. All in all, a great score!!!

If I was gonna spend $$$ on a new stainless razor the Tradere would be in consideration. That and maybe a Feather AS-D2. My concern with both is the inherent weight. Under 100 grams is generally my comfort zone. But, damn Mike! I think you really have a sweet collection happening. Shave on!

Thanks!!! Yes, the Tradere is on the larger and heavier side. I started out using to heavier razors. The Tradere is about 4.1 oz. (118g.) and 3.6". It's not a small piece of hardware it it handles nicely. Need a fe amor shaves and adjust to it to se how the mildness works for me. My first impression is it might be a little too mild for me. I really do like the Personna Lab Blues Blackland included. I have seen that a lot of people like them and I have always wanted to try them.

I had the original Tradere SB and sold it because it was TOO mild. A couple of months ago I bought a used Blackland Tradere OC (Open Comb) version on BST.
Works MUCH better for me. Still pretty mild (For ME), but I won't ever consider a SB version again.
Also (Although my original Tradere SB was in Very good condition), I think the Blackland version is much nicer: Nicer finish and polish, better machining, and nicer handle (Slight polish also).
BTW: I use it with the handle it came with, even though I have several nice handles.

It might be too mild for me as well. I need a few more shaves with it, but that seems to be the direction I think it's going in. They rate the open comb at a 7, so it does clear the mid-point, but everyone is different. I have the open comb on my jet. It's not too aggressive for me, but I do favor the SB so far. But the straight bar is rated a 7, so it is more aggressive than the SB on the Tradere.

Thank you! The Timeless photo is next. It gets out of hand quickly, doesn't it? Haha!!! Th sonly thing I do not have from either is a Titanium. I was considering the Timeless, then these Blackland came up. And if there will be a polished titanium Blackbird, it will be some time. I asked.

Thanks!!! Yes, I notice a difference. The Tradere is very mild. The Blackbird, to me, has a nice feel. The Tradere almost feels like I'm shaving without a blade (I also get tat feel from my Timeless 0.95) while the Blackbird has some blade feel. The Dart also has some blade feel, but so far I lean towards the Blackbird. They're all wonderful, just different. If you like mild, the Tradere is definitely the way to go. It leans toward the mild side, while the Blackbird is just a shade in the opposite direction toward medium/aggressive. As far as actual feel in the hand and control they really are all nice to me, but references vary. The Tradere is the largest and heaviest. The Dart is next in length but third in weight. The Blackbird is only a hair longer and heavier than the Dart, but a tad shorter than the Dart.
