What's the best Gillette old DE Razor of all time?
Tech? Fat Boy? Slim? Flare Tip? Super-Speeds? Aristocrat? Executive? Super Adjustable? Something ELSE?
Why do you think that one's the "best?"
Note that I haven't defined what "best" means. I'll leave that to you!
After trying the gold ball-end '47 Tech, '60 Fat Boy, ;48 Super-Speed, '61 Flare Tip, and '65 Slim,

I keep coming back to the trusty ol' Super-Speed (my first and cheapest de razor with a cracked case). It's the least attractive of all my razors, but it just "feels" (and works) the best for me. Especially with a Personna blade. Maybe because I've used it the most and am most comfortable with it. Got it at an estate auction in a box of junk for $1 (I kept the razor but the rest of the mystery box went into the dumpster).

It ain't pretty, but it's got MY vote for "best vintage Gillette DE safety razor of all time!"
:-)
What's YOUR choice?

Objectively though - need some 1930's-era 'News' in that list, and some even earlier old types - especially the silver-plated 'single rings'.
Have fun!
I was crazy for Red Tips for a few years. Had six at one point. Now only one.
Since then, my favorite Gillette is the flat bottom prewar Tech with triangular slots in the baseplate. Close behind that is my E1.
