Hey Honored Brush Forum members Badger

I got these 5 brushes within the last week or so - I'm building a small high quality badger brush collection, my plan is to end with circa 28 high quality 2-band and 3-band Silvertip brushes by ultimo November.

These 5 Rooneys and Morris & Forndran is ready for their debut soon......

Thought I would post a couple of pre bloom pics for you to enjoy:

I have an M&F Blonde Badger 2-Band 2XL Stubby ButterScotch on its way to me from Lee Sabini in the UK, should arrive next week.
Also own the Rooney Heritage Stubbby 2-Band 2XL - but since it has been used 3 times I will wait posting pics of it, until the other are rinsed, cleaned and have had their fist shaves, so I can post a fair post bloom pic of them all together.

Posting pics of brushes that has pre bloom together with brushes that has post bloom seem redundant to me....... Blush
It's like comparing apples to oranges IMHO

Here goes:

Left to right: Rooney Heritage Stubby 3XL 2-band Silvertip, Rooney Style 1 Size 3 3-Band Silvertip, Rooney Style 1 Size 2 3-Band Silvertip, Morris & Forndran 2-Band Silvertip Blonde Badger 24 mm and Morris & Forndran Stubby 2XL 'Rooney Finest' 2-Band Limited Edition

Thanks Teiste - I have yet to use any of them - 3 of them are soaking in hot water and fluid dish soap solution right now......
I soak them for 1 hour each in water and fluid soap solution, then rinse them and soak them yet another hour each in hot water.

The let them dry for 2 days before I finally start using them.
I do this with all my brushes. So far only one of my current 22 brushes has smelld of badger funk, that was my Thiers issard Super 3-band genuine horn - that smelled so bad after soaking in soap and water for 3 hours, that I had to hand lather the brush 3 times, firsy with Musgo Real, then Proraso Green and then with Speick - that ought to do it Wink

I really look forward to using the M&F with the Rooney Finest hair. This brush is the most expensive brush I have and probably will ever buy $440 including $35 shipment from the US, $25 duty fee and 25% tax (maybe the Chubby 3 in 2-band ButterScotch will beat it, but hope Mark will give me a good offer on it Biggrin )

A superb set of brushes to add to your collection. As others, I'll be interested in reading your reviews, expecially on the Rooney Finest.

But I really meant it at that time Wink

I still believe my Mühle Sophist 23 mm 3-Band Silvertip is a very well made brush, not floppy like my Kent BK8, yet still super soft tips - not a lot of backbone, but still not floppy to me.

But let's just say its no longer in my Top 10 Tongue
