I have a tub of Provence (a nice PIF) and was wondering how many shaves I will get out of it.

It lasts a fairly long time, never really clocked my use since I frequently rotate soaps every day. I'd say unless you have super hard water and don't overload and waste soap, you'd easily get at least 60-70 shaves..possibly more but that is just a rough estimate.

Most estimates I've seen around the internet indicates that a unit of soap - be it a puck of hard soap, a tub of croap or a tube of cream - is meant to last 2 to 4 months of normal use.

That said, there are so many variables involved - hardness of water, size brush, two or ten passes, etc - that the only way to know for sure is to count the number of shaves you get from when it's new until it's empty.

I remember when I was a one cream only user, the tube would last for around 4, sometimes 5 months even though I have always shaved every day.
