I got a killer deal from Patriot for an ATT cap, two baseplates, and a Windrose handle. I had an ATT cap and a TiBam handle to make two razors.
So I spent some time at the lathe and made two stands
The one for the Windrose is just a polished 'bullet' style. But I wanted something special for the TiBam. So I fluted the top with 12 flutes

On the TiBam stand, In addition to 'fluting' the top, I put 18 facets around the base. then bead blasted the whole thing and polished some of the surfaces to give it a two-tone appearance.

I like to incorporate a blade-use counter into some of my designs ... the way I use them is to load a new blade and rotate the stand so that there is a clean blank facet facing me. After the first shave, put the razor in the stand and rotate the stand so that there is a single 'pip' facing me. No mater if I get back to that razor in a day, or don't use it for a month, I know that the razor has one shave on it. Shave, clean and dry, and rotate the stand to the 'two pips' .... rinse and repeat so-to-speak.

I have some stands that have a blank and 1 - 5 pips ... so I could use that bade 6 times ... but I've abandoned that and I find that my sweet spot for most blades is 4 shaves and into the blade bank.
Thanks for looking
