I have a tub of M&M Barbershop De Los Muertos soap I won in one of their drawings. It is not something I will personally use, so I thought I would PIF it here since it didn't cost me anything. Shipping covered, CONUS only.

In order to win, post a link to a favorite song and I will listen to it. I'm always looking for new music. I will be choosing the winner based on the song I like the most. This PIF will be open until 5:00 pm Tuesday August 17th.

One fo my favorite bass lines of all time. I learned it, but don't play it quite as well.  Biggrin

Phenomenal idea. Here’s one a little older but still an absolute banger

Fun PIF.
I'll never win, but this is a stupendous piece of vocal art.

Primo opened the door to opera videos, so I have a short, simple story to tell.  I recall being 12 years old when I became aware of the opera singers my father would listen to on vinyl.  For some unexplainable reason, this album and the music on it stayed on my mind, and I have continued to enjoy Jussi Bjorling my entire life.  Sadly, he left us too soon in 1960 at the age of 49.  My current music tastes are quite varied, but I remain connected to that music I heard when I was 12.

I'm not in because I'm well stocked with soaps, but this is a great PIF!

ZZ Top was the first concert I ever went to way back in 1977: here's one of my favorite blues numbers in memory of  the late Dusty Hill who  passed away recently.

Respectfully,  not in - Bill

Enrico Caruso's widow, claimed that Jussi Björling's voice was very similar to her late husband's.

Opera has always been the genre with which I’m least familiar. Mr. Björling has such a pleasing voice. Thank you for sharing. I now feel compelled to explore further. Please share more suggestions in the music video thread. http://shavenook.com/showthread.php?tid=62465
