I recently obtained one and enjoy it. It is a handsome razor with some serious heft to it; if you like light razors, this ain't the one for you. For me, it shaves smooth and close. I do two passes (WTG, XTG) and am done. I'm an oddball as I don't have an obsession with being BBS. I also have thick, bristly facial hair with skin that's like an old pair of leather boots so YMMV. Personally I think that saying should be changed to YMWV. your mileage will vary

The Bronze .38 was my first Timeless. I love it personally. Despite the .38mm blade gap, I find I get a bit of blade feel when shaving. I would think it leans a bit away from the mild side which I like myself. It is a hefty piece no doubt. But beautiful. This really is a truly YMMV hobby, everybody has different experiences. Fortunately, Timeless does have a 30 day return policy if you purchase directly from them. They also sell "Scratch & Dent" items at a discount, but these are not returnable.

Saw the subject line "Tuneless Bronze" and it reminded me of middle school saxophone lessons.
I was packin' tuneless brass, not bronze, though.
Never did learn to play the darned thing...

Aww... someone corrected the subject line from "tuneless bronze" to "timeless bronze." Killjoy. :-(

The Timeless bronze .38 is a beautiful razor, but an enigma to me.
The Timeless .68 in stainless is my preferred DE razor. The Timeless bronze has a head with a different design than the stainless. I find that the Timeless bronze in .38 has more blade feel than the stainless in .68. The bronze .38 irritated my skin despite the smaller blade gap, and I ended up not keeping it.
It shows that blade gap is only one of the factors determining how a razor feels and performs.

I love Timeless razors, especially the .95 gap. I have all makes and models from Timeless; stainless, titanium, .95, .68, SB, OC, Scalloped, thick, thin, and briefly the bronze. I had the bronze SB, and it was worthless to me. The blade feel irritated me, and small gap gave me a poor shave. I'm sure others will have a different opinion. I'm in my 50's with thick dark stubble that is turning white. Any of the Timeless .95's are my favorite razor!

That was precisely my experience. I don't get any irritation with the .68 stainless steel despite the larger blade gap. There is something in the design of the bronze .38 head that doesn't work for me.

I agree, it does have some blade feel. Even more than the .95 to me. I found the .95 to be quite mild. The .68 I haven't tried yet but would like to in deciding on my Titanium Timeless.
