I had trouble getting consistently good shaves with my Gillette Slim.
Had trouble getting decent shaves out of my Shark blades, too.

But when I put the unsatisfactory Shark (3rd shave with this blade) in my less-than-stellar Slim (set on #7), I got a close, comfortable shave!
No nicks, cuts, scrapes, weepers, or burn.
As I rinsed off my face and ran my palms along the sides of my manly square jaw, I couldn't help but remark "Wow!"
This was better than my first 2 shaves with that blade in my Super Speed.  Maybe the blade needed to be broken in.
Or maybe it was having a personality conflict with the Super Speed (bad chemistry) and it just gets along better with Slim.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts!
Hope this wasn't a fluke!

This sounds like what some say is matching a blade to the razor.  I have not ran into this problem personally but can't say it isn't true either.  Glad you found a solution!

I had the same problem - but found my best match with shark blades was the bin Biggrin

I've never been pleased with Sharks, either; I was just using them up.
Perhaps today's shave changed my mind about 'em!
Time will tell (he said, forebodingly).
