So what device, thing-of-a-jig, what-you-call-it, etc. do you use to scoop out your soap instead of loading your brush in the container?

Thanks in advance!

Interesting question. This isn’t my practice, but if I were to do such a thing, I’d try using a small spoon such as one meant for ice cream samples. It might be too flimsy for repeated use, but that seems to be a good size.

If one existed,, what a ploy to get shavers money!!  A small spoon, knife or finger are excellent. Use the money to buy  some soap .

I use a cosmetic scoop. Go to a quality cosmetic counter (Macy's for instance) and ask for one.

A metal 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon.

The thin wall lets me dig out the right amount of soap. Easily,,, even if the soap is hardish.

And a quarter tsp is a good default amount for about any soap to give you enough for one shave

Tried several things to scoop but decided it is just easier for me to go ahead and load the brush in the container.  Scooping is too hard to guesstimate what you need and I tend to always have leftover soap in the bowl.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I agree.
The leftover soap was irritating me.
Now i use the scoop and bowl only for tester soaps in tiny containers.

If you live near an ocean beach, it’s a simple matter to find a piece of clam shell that has been worn smooth by wave action.  Makes a perfect soap scoop.  I only use a scoop when working with soap samples, otherwise I just load the brush from the soap container.
