We’ve been on a wait list with a rescue group called Louie’s Legacy. They rescue animals in kill shelters. What an awful term and concept!
Yesterday Mrs. chazt was scrolling through Facebook and I spotted a picture. “Who’s that?” I asked.

Well, one thing led to another, and here she is … a bit pooped! She left Tennessee at 4 this morning. We picked her up in Brooklyn at 5:45 in the afternoon. It’s now 8:40 ish. We’re almost ready with a just-right name. I think…

Thanks! It’s been just over ten years since our beloved Patches passed away. We were finally ready.

Thanks Phil. She seems to be mild mannered and mellow. Exactly what we were looking for in a pet. She’s had a few wet accidents already this evening. We’re chalking it up to a long, traumatic and stressful day of interstate travel. Hopefully tomorrow will be dryer

Our previous dog was also a rescue animal. Patches was one of the sweetest animals I’ve ever known. This is my favorite picture of her. The resemblance is uncanny!

Thank you, Pedro. We’d been talking about getting another dog for a while now. Our reason for “no” was that we didn’t want to be “tied down.” We wanted the freedom to come and go without the responsibility. But with the pandemic squashing our mobility, it made sense to find another dog that needed a home.

Thanks, Jack. She’s very sweet. Doesn’t seem interested much in Milk Bones…

Nice Chaz. And congratulations on the rescue. Looks like a happy addition to the fam. Our Dakota passed 2 1/2 years ago. And line you we said he was our last. Growing business, wanted to be able to take off when we wanted. But a few months ago we realized we were ready to get another. This time one that's a couple of years old instead of a pup. Once you've had a great dog or two, it really is weird not having a big ol bubbaloo hanging around. This was our last dogo.

Hi Ron. We’re so pleased. It’s a perfect match for us. She’s convalescing from heart worm and is very mellow as well. We tend to be low key, so it’s all quite groovy.
Dakota is beautiful. You can see her personality shining through!
