I was looking for a bigger bowl than what I already had to help keep the lather from spilling over. This bowl fits the bill for me perfectly. It is large with an inner diameter of 5.4" and just under 3" deep. It gives me plenty of room to work the lather and does a good job of keeping the lather inside the bowl. I was worried it would maybe be too large for me to hold, I have small hands. I can hold it from the bottom, though it is close to being bigger than my hand. However, I use it by the handle and rest it against my stomach. It whips up a great lather. It also has a convenient brush holder which works great and holds my brushes well. Not that leaving brush in the scuttle/bowl is a big deal but I prefer this. It also rinses out nice and easily. They claim it's unbreakable, but I haven't tried driving my car over it yet. Time will tell. For me it was definitely worth buying.

Been hearing good things about this bowl.  It does look unbreakable.  My bowl is made of what appears to be similar material so I fill it about 1/2 full of water, microwave it for a minute, and after I soak my brush pour the water out to create a warm lather.

I've dropped a couple of mine a few times... I'm more worried about the bathroom floor than I am about those bowls Tongue

Although now that winter is coming, I think I'll break out a scuttle instead... there is something about hot lather on a cold morning Smile

At their webshop - they are a vendor here, although not very active. Shipping should not be too bad for you, since they are in the next country over Smile

It does seem like it's gonna be pretty durable. I like the water in the microwave idea, I'm just too lazy. I usually do fill my bowls with hot water when I'm in the bathroom, but I use a synthetic brush so it doesn't really hold heat very well. Although I haven't tried filling this bowl with hot water yet before I create my lather.

Yeah, I think I drop this ball once so far. I'm not terribly worried about it breaking. I did have a ceramic scuttle which slipped out of my hands and broke in the sink. Now I have an unbreakable version of that, but I just like using this bowl too much.
