This Bulgarian-made cream is very nice, and I like the scent and skincare very much. Here are a few points I'd like to mention:

Ease of lathering: 10/10--Bulgarian creams are champion latherers!

Longevity of lather: 10/10--Bulgarian creams have great stability!

General skincare: 9/10--Moisturizes, protects great. Good cooling effect.

Scent: 10/10--Minty/sporty, with a classic note. Very, very nice.

Price: N/A--It was a trade item. A friend from Gut Rasiert sent it to me.

Would I buy again: 10/10--Definitely. I LOVE menthol creams. This is good stuff.

I would rate the menthol effect about the same as Proraso Green cream, or perhaps slightly less. This stuff smells awesome, lathers great, and gives excellent skincare. As I have said so many times, Bulgaria makes marvellous creams.

I had another shave with it this morning and I really enjoyed it. I noticed it really has a very good soothing and protective feeling action as well. As I said, the cooling effect is good, but it's not a face-freezer.

Recently, on a brick-and-mortar shop in Lisbon that sells supplies for barbershops and drugstores, I was able to find 2 variants of this cream: "Ice Rain" and "Cool Stream". Both were inexpensive - only €1 each.
I remembered reading Jeff's review, so I decided to give them a go.

The "Ice Rain" has allantoin and it is supposed for sensitive skin, and the "Cool Stream" variety is supposed to be for normal skin, and has camomile. Both have menthol and are quite refreshing, although not as much as Proraso or Ingram.

Today I had a shave with the Aspis "Ice Rain" - great shave, the cream is absurdly easy to lather, great freezing effect, a nice scent (although nothing to write home about, it just smells nice and clean) and good protection and glide. The moisturising properties are not as good as other creams, but aren't bad either. A good cream, that easily found the way into my rotatioon!

Thank you Jeff for letting me know about these Bulgarian creams! If it wasn't your review, they would probably pass unnoticed to me.

Muito obrigado meu amigo! Perhaps when you have a chance you could tell me about the Aspis Cool Stream. I never tried it before, so which one has more of a menthol effect between that one and the Ice Rain?

I cherish my two tubes I received in a sample shipment from the company. I was going to do an import of their products, and they have a few other brands as well, but there just is a limited interest in things now a days. Grab these if you can, they are well worth it.

Joe, I'd be delighted to buy them from you if you'd import them.

Jeff, I've yet to try the Cool Stream. I haven't shaved with it yet.
I'll do it somewhere along this week and I'll report back. Wink

Jeff, I've tried the Cool Stream this week. Couldn't find many differences between the two versions. The mentholated effect is noticeable in both, it is nice, but once again, not as strong as Proraso or the English or Egyptian Ingram.

Maybe a slight advantage in performance for the Ice Rain version, but hardly noticeable, or not noticeable at all.

Thanks for the info, my friend. I definitely feel a good cooling effect from the Ice Rain cream. One day hopefully, I'll try the Cool Stream. Oh goodness, the Egyptian Ingram is a face-freezer!
