Any clues? I know nothing about straight razors. All it says is Solingen and 2636.

Did I pay too much? Wink

It’s honestly anyones guess, lots of small companies in Solingen Germany produced razors from blanks, I would give it a quick hone to test the edge before going thru the restoring process to see if it’s worth your time to depin and polish.

I probably won’t use it, but thanks for the advice and suggestion. I polished the scales which gave off that giveaway celluloid camphor smell. Perhaps the 2636 refers less to the model and more to the grade of steel, I don’t know, but as I say, I know nothing about straights. Looks good though.
