I purchased this soap from Bullgoose Shaving just over a week ago. I have used it for the past 8 days and feel i can give a fair review.
Description: The soap is labeled "shaving cream" but is more like a softer soap. Bullgoose points this out on the site description. This is a tallow soap.
Price: $14 for 5 oz.
Lathering: I found this soap easy to lather. I load the brush and build my lather in a separate bowl. The lather is rich and creamy. And nice and slick. Very good lather
Scent:The scent is only so-so to me. This is the first time I have ever purchased something scented without test smelling it first. I am sure many folks would fine it pleasant - it just doesn't due anything for me
Shaving: The lather was very slick. The razor glided over my face.
The lather held up for my typical 4 pass shave.
Would I recommend?: Yes definitely.
Final thoughts: i love the name of this. Portman Sqaure Notting Hill just sounds so proper and British. I hope Phil has success with this line and continues to market it.
