About ten months ago, Teiste and I started working with a Spanish Soap manufacturer to make a triple milled hard soap for the Asylum brand. I am happy to announce that Asylum Levante has arrived and is available for sale.

The soap lathers very easily and produces a rich, creamy and stable lather that has plenty of cushion and glide. Due to a generous amount of Shea Butter, the soap leaves your face feeling soft and conditioned after the shave. When we set out for a scent, we wanted something traditionally Spanish. The scent is inspired by the classic Myrurgia 1916 Colonia and features Rosemary, Orange blossom, Bergamot and Lemon.

For the time being, I am only selling refill pucks but, I am in the process of having wood bowls made and hope to have them early next year. I am also considering making a limited run of heavy anodized aluminum bowls for the soap once supply chains improve.

For those interested, the ingredient list is:

Potassium Palmate, Sodium Palmate, Potassium Stearate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Potasium Palm Kernelate, Water, Sodium Stearate, Glycerin, Cocamide DEA, Palm Kernel Acid, Parfum ( Fragrance ), Titanium Dioxide, Shea Butter, Sodium Chloride,Tetrasodium Etidronate, Pentasodium Pentatate, TreasodiumEDTA, Citral, Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol

Very cool Phil.  I ordered a puck yesterday and look forward to giving it a try.  I am also looking forward to either the wood or aluminum bowls becoming available.

I used Levante yesterday and am impressed with this soap.  It generates plenty of lather and performs very well.  I won't have to load as much on my brush next time.  The fragrance is totally awesome - a top of the line Spanish scent.  The citrus and Rosemary come together to produce a very nice, very masculine scent.

It was a marathon.  Tongue I really hope we get our wooden bowls soon. The hardest part was having the soaps in the shop but having to wait for FDA clearance.

Sounds promising, if I rearrange my software storage I bet I can get another soap or two in there.

I hope another soap or 2 fits. Does wife need to pre-approve this engineering re-design? Mine did.

You see Jack the problem is that the storage in question is shared at an 80/20 split obviously falling in the misses direction.

My Levante arrived on Thursday. I shaved with it yesterday and was preparing a post with my initial thoughts (quite positive Smile) when I accidentally hit the page refresh button. Of course, I lost everything - two hours and three plus paragraphs to the ether. At that point I shut the pad a went to sleep. No shave today. Will hit the mirror tomorrow and will follow up after that.

Charlie, when you're working on a post you may want to periodically save it as a draft.   In the event of a computer mishap you'll only lose the work done since you last saved the document.

I'm waiting for my Levante and looking forward to trying it.
