My wife and I stopped in a local vintage shop this morning.  Had a particular item we were interested in for the cafe'.  But when we got there, we decided it wasn't quite right for us.  We love this shop, and as we were browsing around, my eye spotted this on a low level shelf.  I knew right away what it was.  And the $8 price tag told me it was going home with me.  I know I got a good deal on it.  No markings whatsoever as to who made it.  But I like it and it'll go well in our Victorian.  After a few uses, it'll spend some time as a display piece in the customer bathroom by the coffee bar.  I have a vintage Stag brush and a partial puck of Williams that'll be with it as the display.  I can't wait to see how our people will react to it, if at all.  The pic of it with the OS mug is for size comparison.

Yes.  Two.  Three drain holes in the top one.

That’s a nice period piece and a great find, Ron. The cafe’ decorating project continues! Thanks for the update.

Lovely scuttle. The print reminds me of a mug my grandmother had when I was growing up.

Great find!

Nice find! I'm jealous, I live in a tourist destination and all the vintage/antique shops here think that everything they have is made of solid 24k gold and priced accordingly.

Used the scuttle for tonight's shave.  Third use and now it will be part of the cafe' bar room bathroom decor. You can't tell in the pic, but I left the partial puck of Williams in the top cup.  That and the vintage Stag brush gives it a ready to go look.  I don't know how long my wife will let it stay there.  Could be a while since she almost never goes in that toity.  I have a vintage Williams promo poster that I printed off and put in a vintage frame that I plan on hanging on a short half wall just behind the sink.  Curious what comments they'll bring from our customers.
