Aesculapian Mundus. Jetter & Scheerer, Tuttlingen. Germany. TM c. 1903-1932. German Patent. Quick release. Silver plated. Later Jesco (hair clippers). In the beginning, Jesco still had the Aesculap logo, later it changed to something similar. A J&S in itself, which resembled a snake and instead of the crown, the logo had an orb (globus cruciger). Later B. Braun Melsungen AG majority shareholder.

That's a beautiful specimen.  You mentioned that it's silver plated.  Is the silver plating over solid brass?

Yes...a nice silver plating and heavy
