Good morning all,
As my 8th anniversary on TSN rapidly approaches, I wanted to take a minute and express my thoughts about this forum. First of all, mucho thanks to Phil, without whom we wouldn't have this shaving platform at all. Thank you Phil.
Secondly---and what sets this forum apart from the others, is the moderators. Seriously, I have frequented many other shave fora and it is my considerable experience, that the moderators usually fall into two categories.
1) Absent
2) Over-bearing and snarky.
Not at TSN.
That being said, I would like to give a shout out to the TSN mods, starting with Johnny. Johnny was one of the first acquaintances I made here at TSN and he made me feel very welcome. His level-headed moderation always impressed me. Thank you Johnny.
Two other terrific and fair-minded mods are Charlie and Ricardo. A forum could not ask for better representatives. Always a kind word and NEVER a rush to judgment.
These days, a wet-shaver has a LOT of choices where to spend their time. I am happy to say that I choose TSN.
Here's to 8 more years.

Joseph, Happy Anniversary! TSN thrives because of the members. We’re lucky you’re part of the community, Primo. Personally, let me just say how much your friendship has meant over the years. I’ve enjoyed our many private and in-thread conversations. Your various great whale quests and daily SOTD posts that always end with Have A Great Day brighten my experience on the forum.
Here’s to you, my friend
Suffice to say that we’re all in agreement with everything you’ve said about Phil and Johnny, Our Founding Fathers without whom…

Primo, congratulations on your 8th anniversary on TSN. You have contributed a lot to this community during those eight years.
Thank you for your kind words. Phil makes it all possible. Johnny is a TSN legend whose contributions are immeasurable. Each of the Moderators make different but significant contributions to the quality of the TSN community. Of course, in the final analysis, it's the members who make TSN a special place.

Congratulations! Yes, TSN is friendly, informative and a happy place. I feel at home here. I also consider TSN an important archive and repository. And I agree that the moderators are great at what they do, and are never excessive or authoritarian. I have a problem with authority, yes.
People who don't... well, that worries me more, ha ha.

Primo, thanks for the kind words. As others have said, it is the members that make the forum go, and with members like you being a moderator was an easy job. Oh there are bulls in the china closet, but sooner or later they weed themselves out. Cream always rises to the top.
Take care,
Johnny

My only wish was more vintage content...I don't care much about the "new" stuff lol.

As you know, I am a vintage-guy, myself.
