Hello everyone, after a week of using my new LPL combo, I wanted to introduce you to this Bay Rum from LPL!

This new formula is disconcerting to me:
I have never loaded a natural hair shaving brush so lightly with an LPL before. 5 to 6 turns on the soap with this new formula is more than enough.

What about water management, for the first time also with an LPL, I no longer think about wringing. Too much, too little, not enough, it doesn't matter, this new formula is much more tolerant of spin errors.

Finally, after 2 to 3 passes, no need to reload, the badger is still full of foam and it still looks great on the face.

Because photos are better than long proses, here is my badger after three passes:

Nicolas, thank you for posting about this soap.  I have always found LPL scents to be  consistently among the best.  The LPL Oud-Santal remains one of my favorite soap scents.

Now, with this new formula, the foam is even better than the perfume alone.

After a few days of use, I'm super attached to this formula. So much that I forsake my other LPLs, them too complicated to lather next to this new formula. I hope that cyril will eventually change his mind and harmonize his entire product range despite the paperwork that this generates in France...

I look forward to reading your feedback. But without lying to you, it has nothing to do with the old versions.

On deck for tomorrow. First of all, the Europeans have a COMPLETELY different take on Bay Rum. This is similar to DR Harris. Not similar to Dominica or Meehan. Not even in the same olfactory ballpark. That being said, it has a fresh, no clove, scent and the test lather I made was extraordinary. VERY thirsty soap.
Check out my shave journal tomorrow, for further comment.
